Conditions dictated a mainly forwards game and the Boston pack was up to the challenge. In an evenly matched game the Boston pack pressure led to an early try by Jack Alderton which went unconverted. A second try followed just before half time from James Andrews which was converted by Matt Bray.
The second half saw Boston continue with most of the possession however Spalding managed a consolation try which was successfully converted. Man of the match Ross Chambers
